ABOUT THE BREED
Nobel. Intelligent. Protector.
The Cane Corso is an ancient Italian breed. They can reach 28 inches and weigh up to 110+ lbs. They are powerful, willful, trainable and assertive. The breed was used for wild boar hunting, farming and guarding farmsteads.

The breed was nearly extinct. In the 1970 efforts were made to recover the breed. It wasn't until 1998 when the first Cane Corso was imported to the USA.
They belong to the working group. Their general appearance is strong, muscular and sturdy. They move with ease and elegance. Their expression is alert, attentive. Their coat is short, shiny and double-layered. The breed was bred to work and they are happiest when they are given a task to complete. Physical and mental stimulation is needed.
Their presence is impressive and they are loyal to their owners. Despite their appearance they are big love bugs.

Grooming:
Weekly brushing is recommended as they shed throughout the year.
Their nails need to be trimmed regularly.

Exercise:
They are high energy and need regular exercise.
Training:
They are intelligent, trainable and eager to please. Your puppy will grow very large in short period of time. They are strong and determined so early socialization and obedience training is of prime importance to your puppy's future success.
